ICT in English classroom for teaching listening

It is not a secret that almost everything we do is connected with technology. Knowledge would be difficult to get without technologies and life would be hard enough. Education has changed a lot since the appearance of ICT. With the help of computers teachers and pupils can have an inexhaustible source of material.
Teachers, for instance, can find different types of useful, valuable and beautiful material on the Internet. It helps them to prepare the lessons better and to save their time.
All pupils like studying with ICT, because it is very motivating and fascinating. It is well known that computers are very helpful support for teaching the curriculum, and the students also take this idea.
Here I would like to share with you my interesting resource on this topic.

"Live While We're Young" by One Direction

It is quite motivating for students to have access to a natural learning environment as that of an original song. Very often my students have tasks to bring their favorite songs to the class and to work on the lyrics, translation, meaning, some specific exercises and so on. They can work in primary and in secondary schools.  I really loved teaching English through songs and my students did too.
For this post, I selected an optimistic song that perfectly suits to teens who are full of life and energetic. This song motivates the students to live fully while they're young and not to miss a chance to be happy, to enjoy every minute of their cloudless teen life and at the same time it raises a huge interest in further learning of the English language.

A Song Worksheet
Here students are asked to put lines in order.

In conclusion, we can see that ICT in the English classroom supports the main components of learning, that is: active engagement, frequent interaction, feedback, and connection to real-world.
